All letters are hand written in English, photographed by teachers, and sent via email. Teachers of English language in Palestine are encouraged to participate with small groups of 3-8 students only. All teachers must receive permission to participate from administrators or supervisors and then submit to Pen Palestine a permission form for each participating student.

To be included in the project you must:

•Receive permission to participate from administrators or supervisors 

​

•Submit a teacher intake form

​

•Submit a permission form for each participating student

​

After meeting all requirements, teachers will be notified and given further instructions. This school year, communication will be initiated by Palestinian students. After receiving first letters, international teachers will pair their students with one Palestinian student with whom they will correspond with until May 2024.
