The most traditional black and white Kufiya or “Keffiyeh” was originally worn by rural farmers in Palestine. The iconic pattern was adopted by rebels of the 1930s revolt against British colonialism and has since become the truest symbol of the Palestinian revolution. Today, this iconic shawl serves as the unofficial Palestinian flag, carrying deep meaning for Palestinians in the Holy Land and the diaspora. It is worn all over the world in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for human rights.
